Deviantart on the Rocks

I'm rarely active at this site for many reasons. One: I have a life...and that probably sums up all my reasons. However, I have been browsing the net in regards to DA to see if I was the only one feeling the decline of this once popular web site. Turns out that there is a downfall, and many culprits as to why. DA is struggling financially. Many workers lost their jobs here (some without knowing that they were given the pink slip); the CORE membership is too expensive, and the lack of coworkers have left complaints to go unchecked at the Help Desk---which wasn't all that helpful anyway. Others say that once DA changed its logo, so did the website's personality. 

I would personally add in that a site called 'Deviantart' would have eventually begin to meet its demise. There are tons of sexually gross so called 'artwork' that remains up, even after being reported for breaking the rules. The troll problem...well, I can't say that it has gotten worse because I'm hardly here. I have read a few journals that indicates that trolls have indeed increased though...which is no shock considering that many of ED (is that site still around??) moderators worked overtime to harass members, and somehow kept their accounts here at DA. I think they're called Social Justice Warriors now...whatever. Christians at this site were regularly treated as if they were worst than trolls; many were harassed to the point of closing their accounts. If you dared to express your opinion or facts about homosexuality here at DA, you would risk having your account suspended or banned.


So...my suspicion of this place becoming boring and dead has been revealed, and I must say that the decline doesn't at all surprise me. Maybe DA will get together and figure out that things need to change for better, or they'll just kill over and die. I think they might want to repent for many, many evils committed here.
